Meet Emily
I’m Emily Joynton, an illustrator and chainstitch embroidery artist originally from Texas, now based in Philadelphia. I graduated from Maryland Institute College of Art with my MFA in Illustration Practice in 2017 and have lived and worked in Philly ever since. I’ve spent time as a textile designer, a senior art director, an in-house illustrator. Now I am happily freelancing full-time in illustration and chainstitch embroidery.
I'm passionate about the outdoors, beautiful design, and textile arts, and comics. I also love to run, roller skate, root for the Fightin’ Phils, and hang out in my neighborhood. I have a cat named Chita Rivera and she is perfect.
